The Certified EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism Compliance Officer (CBAMCO) is an ECVC credential that validates the ability to interpret and apply EU CBAM rules, including Regulation (EU) 2023/956 and related implementing and amending acts. It confirms competence in CBAM-covered goods, embedded emissions, reporting and declaration obligations, authorised CBAM declarant requirements, CBAM registry processes, carbon price deduction, and the link with the EU Emissions Trading System. The certification also reflects CBAM’s strategic business impact, including procurement decisions, supplier selection, carbon cost exposure, competitiveness, and industrial resilience. Candidates learn to translate EU CBAM requirements into practical compliance, supplier risk management, emissions data coordination, and evidence-based implementation.
